    • The exercise is held biennially in Darwin and the Northern Australian Exercise Areas (NAXA).

    • During the harbour phase of the exercise, the ship’s crew will engage in operational planning interactions and sports activities with the participating naval forces.
    • During the exercise, professional exchanges in harbour and diverse range of activities at sea, including complex surface, sub-surface and air operations would enable sharing of best practices and honing of operational skills.
  • More than 30 aircraft and around 3000 personnel from more than 20 countries participated in Exercise Kakadu.
  • KA22 is held by Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and supported by Royal Australian Air Force.
