- ‘Ypthima watsoni’ butterfly (commonly known as ‘Looped three-ring’) got discovered after 61 years near a village called Phuldungsei in Jampui Hills under the North Tripura district.
- Ypthima watsoni, 1893 belongs to the subfamily Styrene and family Nymphalidae of insect order Lepidoptera.
- The species was 1st reported in Myanmar in the year 1893-1896.
