World’s Largest COVID-19 Treatment Facility Inaugurated in New Delhi

10,000 beds Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital (SPCCCH) were inaugurated in New Delhi on 5th July 2020.
It was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is chosen as the nodal agency for operating the centre.
For the admission and discharge of patients at SPCCCH, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has built a smartphone-based application that will be used by the Authorities.
The facility will also provide a centre of recreation for patients that will have books, skipping ropes, board games, etc.
