About the Unique ID Number plan
- The plan is a part of Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) which was started in 2008.
- The land records database will be integrated with revenue court records and bank records.
- The Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) would be the “Aadhaar for land” and be used to prevent any land fraud.
- The Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) schemehas already been rolled out in 10 states and now will be extended across the country by March 2022.
