He sacrificed his life through execution in the hands of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1675.

About the Sikh Gurus
- Guru Nanak: He was the first guru of Sikhs and gave the first teaching and true meaning to Sikhism. He is known as the founder of the religion.
- Guru Angad: He was the second guru and popularized the Gurumukhi script.
- Guru Amar Das: He established the Manji and Piri System of religious missions. He also asked Akbar to ban the toll levied from non-muslim travelers.

- Guru HarKrishan: He was the youngest and for the smallest duration. He died due to smallpox.
- Guru TeghBahadur: He was the second last guru and was executed by Aurengzeb.
- Guru Gobind Sing: He was the last guru and was assaulted by Wazir Khan, a Mughal emperor.
