- The Awardees are as follows:
- Shahidul Alam from Bangladesh
- Mohammad Mosaed from Iran
- Dapo Olorunyomi from Nigeria
- Svetlana Prokopyeva from Russia
- Lawyer Amal Clooney will be honoured with the Gwen Ifill Press Freedom Award 2020.
