- Delhi Govt. launched India’s first plasma bank at ILBS Hospital.
- In this process the plasma of recovered person is transmitted into the blood of patient suffering from that particular disease and the process is termed as Convalescent plasma theory
- Eligibility criteria for the Donor
- Must be between the ages 18-60 years.
- Should weigh more than 50kgs.
- Should be virus free for more than 14 days.
- Who all cannot donate?
People suffering from:

- diabetes,
- hypertension,
- cancer survivors,
- those with chronic heart,
- liver,
- lung and kidney diseases
- high blood pressure
- For women who have been pregnant sometime in their life also cannot donate
